THE RATING
What Is an RA Rating™?
An RA Rating™ is Racing Analytics’ proprietary assessment of a runner’s overall profile for a particular race.
A profile—not a prediction
The score summarises the strength of the available analytical profile. It does not state that a runner will win.
Specific to the race
A runner’s assessment can differ from one race to another because the course, distance, conditions, opposition and market context may change.
Supported by context
Ratings are used alongside concise commentary so members can see the principal strengths, uncertainties and caution factors.
CORE INPUTS
Factors Considered
The model brings together several categories of racing information. The relevance of each category depends on the race and the quality of the information available.
Recent Performance
Recent runs, consistency, finishing profile and the context in which those performances were achieved.
Ability and Class
Available official ratings, demonstrated ability, speed-related evidence and the standard of race being contested.
Course and Distance
Evidence of suitability for the course configuration, distance and the demands of the illustrated race.
Going and Race Conditions
Suitability for the declared surface or going, together with relevant draw, pace and race-shape considerations where available.
Trainer and Jockey
Recent indicators for the trainer and jockey, including their relevant course, race-type or partnership records.
Market Context
Available market position and movement may provide context, but market activity does not automatically override the underlying racing assessment.
THE PROCESS
How the Rating Is Produced
Proprietary weightings remain part of the Racing Analytics model, but the overall workflow can be explained clearly.
Collect and check
Available race, runner, conditions, connection and market information is collected and checked for relevance.
Assess the factors
Each qualifying runner is assessed across the applicable factor categories using the same analytical framework.
Standardise the score
The combined profile is expressed on a 0–100 scale so runners can be compared consistently within the daily report.
Review and publish
The strongest profiles, relevant risks and market context are reviewed before the report is published.
INTERPRETING THE SCALE
Understanding the Scores
Score bands help describe the overall strength of a runner’s analytical profile. They are not fixed outcome probabilities.
Exceptional Profile
Strong overall indicators align across several of the most relevant factors.
Still subject to racing uncertainty and market context.
Strong Profile
Multiple positive factors align, although one or more areas may require monitoring.
Supporting commentary explains the principal considerations.
Competitive Runner
A competitive profile that may be relevant depending on race conditions, opposition and market position.
A score in this range is not automatically a highlighted profile.
Caution Profile
The assessment contains more uncertainties, weaker indicators or insufficient support across key factors.
This is analytical caution—not an instruction to oppose a runner.

What Can Affect a Rating?
Racing information can change. The rating and accompanying commentary should be understood within that context.
Late race changes
Non-runners, going updates, draw changes or other material race developments may alter the relevance of an earlier assessment.
Market movement
A movement in price can change a value assessment even when the underlying RA Rating™ remains unchanged.
Data availability
Ratings depend on the quality and completeness of information available when the analysis is prepared.
Racing uncertainty
Pace, positioning, incidents and normal performance variation mean that even a strong profile may not produce the expected result.
No guaranteed thresholds
No score band guarantees a win, place, profit or successful outcome. Historical patterns may not continue.
Responsible interpretation
Ratings should be used as one analytical input alongside personal judgement, affordability limits and responsible gambling practices.

Is an RA Rating™ a betting tip?
No. It is an analytical assessment of a runner’s profile. It does not instruct a member to place a bet.
Does a rating of 90 mean a 90% chance of winning?
No. The 0–100 score is a proprietary profile scale, not a win probability or forecast percentage.
Is the highest-rated runner always the best value?
No. Rating strength and value are different. Value depends on the available market position relative to the analytical assessment.
Can a rating or profile change?
Yes. Material changes such as non-runners, going updates or market movement can affect the interpretation of a profile.
Why are the exact factor weightings not published?
The detailed weighting structure is proprietary. Racing Analytics explains the principal factor categories, score interpretation, supporting evidence and limitations without publishing the model’s protected calculations.
Do Standard and Premium receive the same information?
Both use the same ratings framework. Standard provides a concise daily briefing, while Premium adds complete ratings coverage, detailed factor analysis and expanded market intelligence.
